1st Christmas

We had an awesome Christmas! Gracee loved it all, the tree, lights, ornaments, music, her dress, and all the presents! I think she is still a little to young to really understand, but she loved to open presents.. For Christmas this year, the Saturday before we went to Chico to spend it with some of The Rogers relatives at our cousin's new house, they have two little girls, so it was great to have Gracee around other children too, but again she didn't know quite what to think. Monday before Christmas we went up to Mt. Shasta to see our family up there and do Christmas with them and we stayed the night and Gracee got her favorite toy, she loves the music. Christmas Eve we went to Church in Corning at the Luthern church there with the in-laws and auntie, at first Grace wasn't sure with the loud music but by the end she was singing along to it. Christmas Day, we woke up in our own home, open presents and then headed over to the Red Bluff Rogers for Christmas dinner and presents. Christmas is so much more fun with a child. Merry First Christmas Grace! Hope everything had a wonderful time! Happy New Year!

A lot of Firsts

This last weekend we went up to Mt. Shasta to see our family and friends. The last day we were there it snowed. I miss the snow. Gracee got to see her first snow fall, she loved watching out the window. She also started sitting up completly by herself, she is totally content playing by herself, now she just needs more toys!!! She loves Christmas, the tree, the lights, the ribbon, wrapping paper the ornaments, so much to play with and see. She feel into the tree and didn't mind one bit ;) She is such a joy in our lives :)

Our amazing gift

Our amazing gift! We got Grace's 6 months pictures taken at Penny's again, I'm not sure I'm to crazy about these ones, the backgrounds could be better, but she sure looks adorable. She is a wonderful gift this year, always smiles, fun and loving. We are so thankful for her in our lives every moment of every day!

Christmas Tree Cutting

I'm really into this year starting new traditions with now having Grace. I have been asking everyone things that they do to make the holiday memorable and things that they do every year. I have gotten so many wonderful ideas. Thank you... Keep them coming.
Since Matthew and I have been married we always went to the Tree Farm in town and got a tree, this year we went with his parents and his sis to Paynes Creek to a Tree Farm, really it is just hundreds of acres of trees and you drive around till you find the perfect one and chop it down. It didn't take us long to find the perfect one. Gracee loves to be outside and loved to see all the trees and touch them. She had a great time. Another new tradition..

Giving Thanks

We have so much to be Thankful for this year, one priceless gift is our beautiful, happy daughter, she brings us many joys. I couldn't imagine not being able to stay home with her every day and watch her change and grow. Were thankful for the job Matthew goes to every day, the roof over our heads, that we own our own home, our family, our friends, good health, food on our table and the love we share..

This was a fun Holiday weekend, my parents and grandma came down here to Matthew's parents house for Thanksgiving, Mark and Lisa couldn't come, but we missed them! Gracee got all dressed up and had her first Thanksgiving, she sat at the table like everyone else and ate her yams. It was nice to have both families together. Friday we went to the Nulls house and learned how to make jam. Grace loves spending time with Auntie Crystal and Uncle Freddie. On Saturday, Matthew's aunt and uncle came to visit, they live in Napa and have never met Gracee before. And on Sunday, Matthew and Gracee had a long father/daughter day, while I went shopping in Redding with Auntie Crystal. So many blessings in our lives...

Oh and for those of you who don't know, we are going to be an Auntie and Uncle soon, my brother and his wife are expecting a little girl in April!!! We are so excited for them!
